Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
This is your chance to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's best robot vacuum under 200-rated models will be on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. This uses AI to identify objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you photos of an object it encounters so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don’t want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it using voice.
The design is also better than the competition. It features a sleek, high-end piece that looks like toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base automatic cleaning robot Dirt disposal It also self-empties which will reduce your cleaning time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it around the floor. It even managed to capture sand and small gravel that other robots aren't able to do. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
The j7+, while not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and it can't clean the stairs, it's an option for those who need both a vacuum and a mop. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's hard to determine whether the update actually functioning until you've seen it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors A hybrid is the best buy robot vacuum option. This kind of robot usually comes with a built-in tank for water that allows them to vacuum and mop your house at the same time. These bots also have various additional features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be expensive at retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock is one of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model. While it lacks certain features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an ideal option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is an area where cheaper robot vacuums can really fail. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is superb and has very few missed corners and along walls.
The Q5+, just like other Roborock products can be controlled with just a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you select the Q5+ it comes with a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's in place the process of emptying the bin is simple. It comes with a huge LCD screen that is very useful in setting up schedules and changing settings. This feature isn't necessary for the majority of people, however it can help you easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and functionality are some of the top available however, it's also expensive.
The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and the size is quite compact. But the station's biggest selling point is how it automates many tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It can store dirty and clean water and electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require this.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's the only robovac that I've tested that does an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of your home. It also can't climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for a vacuum robot that can do it all.
If you're looking to cut costs or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of alternatives available. A lot of eufy models are considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers a similar in-app experience with more features, including stair climbing, a full-function dock, and better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of making robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpet floors, as well as mopping functions for a low cost. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app walks you through several steps to connect to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be located close to an outlet that has enough space to move.
The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it can be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious when compared to rival models. It has a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral fashion over two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The most important feature that distinguishes the G30 apart from its competitors is the way it cleans. It uses an integrated map to make a picture of the immovable items in its path. It remembers the things it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. It will return to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning the area it left.
The eufy G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower monthly costs. It is faster to charge, has similar battery life and performs better on unfinished carpet or floors with low pile. It has a larger dust bin that does not require as much emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30, on the other hand, is more affordable and is much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't require as frequent emptying and it has less trouble with heavy materials such as cereal.
